What is RoadRUNR
A New Zealand app for buying and managing road user charges, made by EROAD. Check your balance, see the distance you have left and top up from your phone.
What are road user charges
RUC is what you pay to use New Zealand roads in a vehicle that does not pay tax at the pump. Diesel vehicles have always paid it, and EVs and plug-in hybrids pay it too.
Which vehicles does it cover
Light vehicles that pay RUC. That means EVs and plug-in hybrids, light diesel vehicles, and petrol vehicles as they move onto RUC.
Do I need anything fitted to my vehicle
No. RoadRUNR works from your registration and your odometer reading. There is nothing to install and nothing to plug in.
When can I get it
